What is my education and experience background?
I attended Purdue University for my bachelors and masters of science in biomedical engineering. At Purdue, I worked in a research lab studying breast cancer progression. I am currently pursuing my PhD in cancer biology at the University of Michigan. My current research is focused on how we can improve immune system interactions with cancer.
What are my core values as a healthcare professional?
My values are deeply rooted in compassion, continuous learning and empowerment. I believe in approaching each individual with genuine empathy and understanding, as well as respect. I am dedicated to continuous learning, staying updated with the latest research, technologies and best practices, in order to promote the highest standard of care. Above all, I seek to empower patients by equipping them with knowledge, resources and support to make informed decisions.
How do you aim to work with patients?
I recognize the importance of active listening, open and clear communication, and patient education. When interacting with individuals, I practice active listening by giving them my full attention, showing empathy, and understanding their concerns. I prioritize open and clear communication, using language that individuals can easily understand and avoiding medical jargon, encouraging individuals to ask questions and actively participate. By empowering individuals with information about their condition and treatment options, I hope to help them take an active role in managing their health and foster a collaborative approach to their journey.

Get to know me a little better
I love immersing myself in a good book or unleashing my competitive side on the tennis court. Animals also hold a special place in my heart, which has led me to volunteer at the local animal shelter. I also enjoy hanging out with friends, whether that be going on a hike on a beautiful day or staying in and playing board games.
